BWIR combines in-depth knowledge of machine building and product development with a command of the latest engineering software tools to provide a wide range of value-added services to our customers. Our engineers have hands-on shop floor experience in the United States, Europe and Asia that distinguishes us from other engineering consulting companies.
MACHINE DESIGN & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
Based on customer requirements, our engineers create multiple machine or product concepts for consideration. Once finalized, BWIR completes the modeling and detailed design for manufacturing. Manufacturing support and testing is provided. For product development projects, BWIR offers prototyping services if required.
CAE SERVICES OFFERED
3D Modeling: BWIR has expertise in mechanical design services using all major 3D solid modeling applications such as SolidWorks, Unigraphics and Pro/ENGINEER. Our tools, processes and skills have earned BWIR recognition as a top CAD conversion expert. Projects include paper to 2D, 2D to 3D and 3D to 3D from any source to any destination.
Finite Element Analysis: BWIR analyzes components for static, dynamic, thermal and fluid dynamic properties using tools like COSMOS, NASTRAN and ANSYS.
ELECTRICAL CONTROLS
Control Panel Design, Wiring and Schematics: BWIR has expertise in creating general assembly layouts and wiring and schematic diagrams as per IP/NEMA standards. Tools include Adept-e and AutoCAD.
PLC, SCADA & HMI Development: BWIR builds complete controls solutions and machine interfaces using HMI tools and PLC's from Allen-Bradley, GE Fanuc, Siemens and others.
ENGINEERING AUTOMATION
Knowledge-Based Engineering: Having both IT and Engineering services under one roof has made Application Programming Interface (API) development one of our core strengths. Custom development is provided using VB and VC++ for SolidWorks, Unigraphics and various other CAD software. BWIR's packaged solutions include a simple Excel-based configurator and a CAD - ERP Bridge.
Product Data Management: As a productivity enhancing measure, BWIR implements PDM solutions using tools such as SMARTEAM, Windchill and DBWorks. The seamless integration of CAD packages with PDM distributes engineering data throughout the organization with minimal effort. PDM also enables configuration management of design releases.
SOURCING OF PARTS AND COMPONENTS
In response to customer demand, BWIR offers the sourcing of manufactured and purchased parts. Our product range includes machined parts, castings, forgings, electronic components and plastic items. Cost savings range from 20% to 60%.
