Barry-Wehmiller’s Guiding Principles of Leadership (GPL) is a unique list of leadership traits that defines a vision of our culture to which we aspire – one of communication, trust, celebration, respect and inspiration. Together, these characteristics have become the foundation of our organizational culture.
As we refined our leadership vision and accelerated our progress in living our GPLs, a continuous learning program was established that would bring together everything we had learned and would continue to learn along the journey. In the fall of 2007, Barry-Wehmiller University (BWU) was founded as an “integrated, inspirational and sustainable way” of translating the leadership vision to the organization.
While BWU addresses the leadership development and the culture building needs of the organization, BWIR University reinforces the commitment towards providing personal and professional development opportunities for our people. The focus is on providing best-in-class programs executed to industry-leading standards.
Consequently BWIR figured as “one of the best emerging companies to work for” in a survey conducted by NASSCOM in 2008.
